My pink duvet covering my somewhat cold lower limbs, my fluffy fish I absentmindedly caressed with my right hand, while my left holding my precious pink psp. Eyes that I could have sworn gleamed with evilness, as I opened the internet browser, expertly clicking the WLAN button and entered the settings - an evil plan hatched on my mind, certain that no suspecting souls would be awake at these late hours past midnight.
Soon. I thought. Pretty soon I will reach the vastness of the web, on the comfort of my own bed. The corners of my mouth turned into a gleeful smile and an evil cackle of laughter soon filled the quiet of my room. Especially after the greedy eyes feasted upon the rectangular screen on my palm, acknowledging that there were 2 potential connections on air right at that moment.
And so, the fingers immediately chose 'AndrewLF' connection - the mind shamelessly filled with the contentment of leeching off somebody's wireless connection. Even more shamelessly is that the mind actually prays that the stolen connection will be fast. But this 'AndrewLF' guy however is a very smart ass that has learnt to password protect his connection..
But the scheming mind never stops dead at that. Eventually realizing the first attempt was fruitless, the dirty fingers quickly switched to the second default connection - a slightly less stronger signal than the first one.. however, with an unexpectedly strong security system that she could not get through.
At this point, I think she has learnt her lesson. Tomorrow, it will be a success - no, not another attempt to hack somebody's account, but rather installing my dongle program to set my own hotspot point. Trying to leech off somebody's internet connection from unsuspecting neighbours aint the way to go.. And now, my subconscious mind is bothering me, keeping me awake (but then again my bodyclock is already messed up anyway..) - Nevertheless, shall have to apologize for the shameless attempts. The question is, which neighbours have I (attempted) sinned to? Argh.
And so, the moral of the story is ....
Dont try to leech off somebody's connection. Your conscience will bother you. Dont even try.
And most importantly, password-protect your internet connection. You never know, you may be unawarely regarded as the kind neighbour who occassionally sponsored somebody's net.
