I was so used to that day being far away that when it finally came, it felt so surreal.



Mr Peanut is leaving for Melbourne, maybe for good.. Last friday was the last day I saw him, he was more quiet than usual, it was weird. I wanted to ask him how he was, I wanted to tell him we would miss him, I wanted to say a lot of things, but I didnt and only briefly flashed him a warm smile. He was one of those people that I met on a regular basis this year, he was one of those people that I felt comfortable with, he was one of those people that I turned to for help, he was one of those people that always ask me how I was whenever I had a worry line on my forehead.
I remember raya eid this year, I was in the hospital. I caught him at the corridor and burst out that we were going to celebrate eid the next day. He patted me on my shoulder and reassured me that it was going to be okay. He was that "father" figure in the group - who always look out for the rest of us. M pretty sure everyone in the group misses him too. At the very least, we will miss teasing him. Hrm.. Wishing Mr Peanut all the best in his further studies, may our paths cross again.



Last friday, we went out for lunch as a group. The last of our many group outings this year. It was good, it was really good. It was only then that it dawned on me that we would not be in the same group again next year. Who knows what will happen next year, but one thing for sure, I will miss this group. We have gotten to know each other so well and each other's quirks. We function well as a group. Really well.



I will miss Ann this holiday. I will miss hanging out with her. She is my shopping partner. She is someone that I could text in the middle of the night for a shopping spree the next morning. She is someone that I go out with for movies. She is someone that I consult with for dresses. Someone that I meet up for coffees at cafes.

And Ara ... Ara and May. My study partners this year.. I hope next year, even if m not with any of them, I hope I will find someone(s) to study and work well together.
I will miss hanging out with them too. Especially Ara and her sense of humour. We run into each other a lot during weekends and holidays this year. But not this summer holiday. :(

Ah. I will miss everyone. Summer is here promising fun in the calendar, but I couldnt help thinking that I will miss my friends here. Hrm. Anyway, this will be my last long holiday that I will spend in Brunei.. I've promised myself that I will have an awesome summer this year. And m pretty sure I will. =)
