Yay. I’ve just submitted my paper report! My few hours’ worth of researching and typing up a few thousand-words paper to be published for the upcoming medical students’ conference. Being the queen of procrastination I am, I’ve only started researching exactly 48 hours before the stated dateline. Heh. What can I say? Adrenaline rush is the best way to go to beat my laziness. =p
Yesterday was the World’s AIDs Day. Saw the booths at the mall but there didn’t seem to be much going on. Coincidentally, the theme for the conference I will be attending (InsyaAllah) in January is HIV/AIDs. Even though HIV infection is still considered low in New Zealand (compared to STIs such as Chlamydia), it is still a worrying epidemic for many many many reasons. Ah.. It is really an interesting topic to discuss about – I cant wait to meet up with other students from other countries; learning the situations in their regions, especially those coming from South East Asian nations.. because one day, InsyaAllah, I will be working at this side of the world too.
