It was early friday morning when I finally drifted to sleep. Woke up four hours later to attend my 11 oclock lecture. Ironically, I was so elated, so energized, so invigorated that late morning - walking side by side with Diyana to school, talking animatedly, telling jokes, arms moving zoetically, flailing, in the execution of our own morning comedy.

Despite the seemingly lack of sleep the day before, my mind was clear at that time, crystal clear - every little thing captured my attention and everything just seemed so gorgeous, so colourful, so blitheful. Even the lecturer's voice was so melodic. haha.

End of class, we scrambled away. Could feel tiredness slowly building up inside me with each pace I trudged, as Di and I made our way to newworld. Talking seemed to take a humongous effort and so was concentrating on what the other person was saying. My mind was buzzing with lightheaded dizziness and when we finally reached our crib, I immediately jumped to bed.

An hour later, mustering what little strength I seemd to have left, we walked to the mosque, bought some chicken. We cooked the chickens together, me in my heavy-lidded stupor, continually yawning, longing to get back to my sleep. And I knew that in light of my zombie-like existence, I didnt feel like walking all the way to Clubs and Socs for the Bruneians iftar gathering. Recuperating from that consuming lethargy was even more appealing that time.

And it was not 8pm when I climbed back to bed and dozed off ... - till an hour later when my itchy right arm woke me up. urgh. Vaguely realizing that I still hadn't showered yet that evening - which my skin evidently told me so. Red patches, little bumps of rashes, all over again. ugh. I rolled over to the other side, my mind actively blocking off the itchy sensation and fell back to sleep. Was too tired to drag myself to the shower cubicle.

Now, its predawn.. a couple more hours of sleep after this and I'll be good and human again. =)
