Quite a tiring day today. I arrived at 9 in class, too early for my pathology class. Class with Mike (my tutor) never starts until at least quarter past 9, and everyone has soon learn to come later. I dont know why I still want to come early anyway, haha, I guess you cant just take the geek out of me. And Mike never stops dispensing excuses of why he was late eachtime before class started (traffic jam, was on-call, was driving 600km out of Dunedin the night before, was drunk the night before) - unique reason uttered each time, never cease to amaze me. haha. Today, it was because he was avoiding from meeting someone - I dont know how is that relevant.
Pathology class has always been a writing marathon. Actually, the class starts with such mellow pace, discussing cases punctuated with Mike telling us his personal stories. Oh he soooooo love telling us stories - from about his childhood, to his divorced wife and to his current affair. Which is actually nice - except the fact that we have to breeze through the last 3 pages or so of the cases in less than half an hour. Then, it is NOT fun!
Dissecting lab was quite .... nasty today. ewww. Cutting up some GI organs, scooping out the mash of digestive .... materials - gross. >.< (A friend told me her group's cadaver had a piece of orange coloured undigested material in the lumen - which suspiciously looked like carrot. ewwwwww. Damn it. I love carrots okay! >.< )And somehow I couldnt get that out of my mind, and was particularly not enthusiastic for iftar today. Especially when Diyana pointed out the resemblance in the chickens. Eww. Needless to say, I threw up after that. hah.
And that pretty much sums up my day. Am tired, longing to hit the bed. But priority has it that I better hit the books now...
