Well onto page 10 of my brain anatomy lab manual - still hundreds more to go. I am progressing, haha! A cup of coffee by my side, a must ingredient to help my mind stay awake. Unfortunately, it isnt enough to help me to stay focus - especially not when it is a tad noisy outside. Hurh. Its only 8 something - too early for people to be drunk, huh? But apparently not.
Lately, it is noisier in the neighbourhood - God knows why. Maybe a nasty someone has found out how quiet this place is one night and decided to turn this secluded dwelling into a shouting zone. Lost was the tranquility, the calm silence of the night when one can be absorbed in one's own thoughts - replaced by maniacal laughs and loud hollers.
Ugh. Shut up you insensitive people! Dont you know that there is a geek inside who is frantically studying and longing for silence? Sigh. At one point, I just wanted to swing my window open, shriek at the noisy buffoon, expelling my contempt with a load of expletives vociferation.
Only, sadly, my window is not the type that you could freely swing open - the 2 latches of the window ensure that it can only be opened systematically. Heh. Where is the satisfaction of showing off your temper (in an attempt to intimidate the drunkard) when you could not even swing the window open? Absolutely none!! It is almost like trying to hurtle something at someone, but you missed. Hah. Utterly useless effort.
Besides, today is 2nd day of Ramadhan - it pays to be patient. (And that includes speeches free of repulsive obscene swearing). 0=)
Anyway, on a much happier note, today is the day I play the role of a cook (actually, I rotate with Diyana during Ramadhan month - to cook for iftar on days when we dont go the mosque). The meal for today is ...
Nasi Lemak with the condiments. =)
Rice aromatically cooked with pandan leaves and coconut milk (not healthy, I know!), fried chicken (again, unhealthy!), boiled eggs (yes. another fat-laden food, which contains more than 90% fats), sambal pusu and salad to substitute for cucumber. Heh. Dont be fooled though, the salad, as healthy as it may sound, was mixed with mayo dressings, deeming the green leaves not fat-free..
And to make the meal as atrociously unhealthy as possible, Ive also had a slice of yummy chocolate brownie cake [Thanks Sharon!! =)]
But now, I dont feel too good eating all that.. :S When I think about it, the extra (unnecessary) fats will be stored in adipose tissue, spotting that (blegh!) yellowish colour with that moist consistency which smells (at least in cadavers anyway). Ewww... knowing that, its as if eating THAT disgusting yellow fats. Ewww.. >.<
