Acute.

wheeeeee~~~~~

I just cant believe my LUCK! Its my earliest acute night yet. Yay! =)))))))
The house surgeon on-call tonight actually allowed us to go home early. [US as in me, Ann and our TI. James decided to stick around for some appendicectomy procedures done in the theatre. oh well... I guess not everyone can be as enthusiastic as him, eh? =p]
And 'early' in this context means leaving at 10pm. Hah. But you know, thats still freaking awesome, thats still relatively early than my previous acutes. huhu. I jumped up and down and did a triple somersault in the ED just to show how happy I was..
oklah.. i kid. I didnt do that. I would, if I could. HAHA. M sure the bored patients would appreciate a foolish med student making a spectacle of herself and being harshly told off by the medical officers. Heh.

anyway...

M now well onto the 3rd week in the surgery/onco team. 2 more weeks to go.. before I'll be warded off to a different team in surgery/gastroenterology. Sigh. I cant believe it that the weeks went by so fast. Sound like a real cliche huh? And I felt a bit... disheartened to leave this team (oklah.. pedantically speaking, my colleagues James and Ann will still be with me for the next run).. but you know, everyone is just so helpful.. (well maybe not exactly everyone lah. haha my reg is pretty high on cortisol most of the time to actually have nice conversations with us. And we dont exactly see our big bosses (consultants) much).

But,

I appreciate my house surgeon. (didnt I say this before too?) He's really amazingly awesome. Amazingly patient, teaching us a lot of things. Giving me plenty of opportunities to get hands-on experience, setting me little tasks to do, making me read up on my previous years' notes. heh. Basically, he makes me learn. And my TI is friendly and nice as well, always a great teacher to me and instilling my confidence which is pretty sweet. =) I think m gonna miss them when they are not around anymore. huhu.

aite. I gotta get some shut-eye now for an early start tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day, will be a good day and has the potential to be an awesome day too. =) Have new patients admitted under the team's care today, more new faces in the wards, new cases to explore. Thats always interesting isnt it?
