Exactly one week ago, I was sitting downstairs in the loungeroom. It was the first day of the holiday, everyone was so happy and the air smelt of cherries. Had some of our coursemates over, it was an impromptu gathering really. And it was awesome.. I embarrassed myself by competing in our little singstar competition. And then, as if that wasn’t enough, I further embarrassed myself by trying to dance. All in all, I was more like a monkey with my weird antics and croaky voice. Very silly, I know.

Now, m sitting here pitifully lamenting away about the end of the short break. Oh no! I still cant get enough of the holidays. >.< Sigh.

Diyana came from wellington last Saturday. It was great. It was like the good old days once again. With her and her lame jokes =p , her and her soto, her and her worries over things, her and her singing, her and her giddy excitement, her and her dorayaki.
For more than a few moments, I let myself believe that it was actually our trip to Christchurch together like we did the previous years.. instead of her visiting me and Nisa here. But this afternoon, she left. And I live here.

Hang out with the two 5th years( Syaz and Yati) – essentially, the only other Bruneians currently in Christchurch. This is us at Nandos..



We went to their apartment as well. Their place was so awesome, they had a balcony overlooking some parts of the city. I was awed; when I looked out from my bedroom window I only saw another house. But from their balcony, the world stretched.

Nisa, Diyana and I went punting one afternoon. One sunny, warm afternoon that felt like spring rather than autumn. Had a great view of the Botanic Garden (which was behind the hospital) from our little boat. Overall, it was a nice experience… maybe next time Ill come again for canoeing.




So, that was it. I wasn’t around the net because I was busy having fun. I couldn’t type any better now because m busy reminiscing and smiling over the fun little things we did. Just like old times. :D
