So, the first week of cardio/resp week was over. In a few short hours, I would have woken up from sleep and begin my second week in a respiratory team. Huzzah! Another day as a dwarf as I toil along with M with the rest of our team. Oh and who's M? Heh. Just the tallest guy in the whole class (and that includes students from across 3 schools). Hebat sekali! I am glad that May found it amusing seeing the tallest and the shortest people in our group being thrown together in the same team. Kinda accentuates just how vertically challenged I really am, huh? Heh.
Anyway, aside from being constantly reminded of my height, the week back in the hospital had been okay. It hasn't been as busy as I thought it would be (Ha!) - but the days will tremendously change as my team is oncall for the whole of next week. I am actually looking forward to that - oncall days mean having new patients and (hopefully) more interesting cases to learn. =) Besides, I need to grab a patient soon for my presentation in 2 weeks time. As mean and self-centred as it sounds, I actually hope a handful of patients would throng in the ED department requiring some sorta respiratory assistance. Oh do I just sound so politically incorrect? Heh.
Hrm. I am gonna turn in now. Tired, sleepy. I have just finished writing up my ethics case. Yay! ^.^ One of these days, I will find the time in between watching TV programmes and actually study for my upcoming test this friday. Heh. Who can blame me, olympics rock!!! =) Plus, the twins (NZ) had just won women double sculls rowing. woohoo~ (apparently the news was also announced by an enthusiastic doctor in the emergency department last night) Haha. Glorious olympics, everyone is in a fantastic mood. ^.^
