Kid.

These days, m a kid. A little girl playing in a large playground, ambling her way in the vast realm of Medicine. So far, things have been great. Really awesome. We play a lot of games. One of my favourite games to play is "play-pretend" game - a fun game involving me strutting my way looking nonchalant in front of the patients, slinging my stethoscope on my neck, pretending I know something when more often than not, I dont. Heh. XD

So far, life has been blissful. I am contented most of the time. Everyday I wake up to the smiling sun, except for the last couple of days when its showering in Christchurch. But even though its raining, it's raining orange juice; fresh fat droplets that wash away all the earth's scum and worms; leaving a trail of citrus fragrance in the air. Oh. Nature is wonderful. Beauty is nature.

Oh how I remembered last week, approximately the same time as now. I was a reluctant kid who dreaded the approaching monday. And I remembered the monday morning itself, I was a tardy kid dilly-dallying my way to the hospital, unenthusiastic of the trip. Then, I remembered the few days following that. At the marae. That was awesome. Awesomely fun! Holding hands with my classmates, giggling, I believed I really was having fun. Akaroa is definitely an amazing place to visit in New Zealand. On the day we had to leave, we spotted dancing dolphins in the blue ocean just opposite Onuku Marae; nature's amazing way of waving adieu to us.

You know, just as nature had been waving goodbye to us, so did us. I had bid my summer farewell. I waved the orientation weeks goodbye.
Monday is officially my first day in my first run. If you want to get technical about it, it is officially my first day as a clinical student. M excited, most of the time am frenzied by the amazing world of clinical medicine. Just like a kid, full of giddy excitement of embracing something new. And just like a kid too, there are times when m terrified, overwhelmed, doubtful. But the kid in me says that this playground is too awesome to wash my hands off; for I believe that I am finally having fun. =)
