those who laugh first, finish last.

Yes it is true.

Whoever it was some long time ago thought of this quote was a pretty darn smart guy. Heh. Anyway, pathology tute was a breeze today. I couldnt pinpoint what it was; was it the cold early winter breeze or was it our numbed minds or was it the hot cup of coffee at St Elmo's that brought up everyone's dry humour? One blink and everyone around me morphed into cheeky clowns that had me laughing in stitches. Maybe I was easily amused. Heh. Between fits of giggles and teasing "thursdays May" syndrome and inside jokes "who wants to do CT" and food talks, we finally managed to answer the questions. Last. Heh.

Walked home through the Hagley Park. Saw Ann walking through the park and invited her home. Had idle chit chats and somehow, we ended up baking cheese cake. =p My second attempt at baking. haihs. Living with the other girls in this house certainly made me acutely aware of how lacking I am in the culinary department. And certainly, baking. When every other girl was so into baking and trading recipes back in highschool years, I merely glanced away. Now, a few years down the track I havent got the slightest idea on the art of baking yet. Yeah. I am retarded that way. Heh.
Anyway, this is the picture of the first cheesecake that Diyana, Nisa and I baked early this year... (yesh. messy and all. sigh. -___-" ) I didnt manage to take a photo of the product of our spontaneity today. heh.

Anyway, the past 2 days had been great. Went out for lunch at this quaint little shack beside the river with Barbara and Ann yesterday afternoon. Wonderful catch up sessions with the girls - especially with Ann. It's funny that we used to see each other so often being in the same team and all back in surgical run, from early mornings till late hours and some midnights. And now, we havent spent that many hours working together. Heh. Now, we are trying to make it a point to have our lunch dates on some afternoons.. just to catch up.

The mandatory morning classes that we've been having in this GP run has actually done wonders for everyone to work well together too. Which is really a blessing. We are going to have our first whole group alcohol-free outing this monday night. I am so looking forward to it. It is nice when you are not the only sober person in the whole group.

And the case write up thing? My GP has assigned me to another patient. I had talked to her on the phone, arranging to meet her this weekend. She sounds wonderful, and I am looking forward to see her. Hopefully, things will work better this time. =)

See.. things took a different turn since the last time I blogged. Alhamdulillah. When I think about it, there is a reason why things sucked that day. It is that one suck-y day that makes other days following it seem nicer. No?
